VNS NON DORMANT

Characteristics:

  • Best suited to warm, mild winter regions

  • Plants keep growing late into fall and resume growth earlier in spring compared to ratings 4–6

  • Higher total annual yield potential because of extended growing season.

  • More cuttings per year (often 8–10 in warm regions vs. 4–5 in cold regions)

  • Taller plants with longer stems and slightly larger leaves.

  • Less root carbohydrate storage because of continued top growth into fall.

  • Not recommended where winter freezing is common, because cold hardiness drops sharply

  • Fall Dormancy: 8.0
